- The Irony of castro’s Lackeys
Reuters has
published an
article regarding communist Cuba’s
useful idiots, the Venceremos Brigade. Sixty
of these supporters of tyranny, fresh from their
latest visit to the “workers’ paradise,” walked
across the Peace Bridge that links Canada with
Buffalo, New York, daring the US authorities to
detain them. This band of American fools, since
1969, has been providing help to the dictatorship of
Cuba by violating US law and traveling to Cuba to
help the island’s oppressors by cutting sugarcane,
rebuilding the dilapidated buildings communism has
destroyed, and any other menial task castro can come
up with. To put it more simply, and if you will
excuse my language, they are all basically castro’s
bitches.
The fact that
these imbeciles continue to do this is not news, but
a quotation in the article from one of these
brilliant brigadistas caught my eye.

“The
government is telling us we don't have a right to
travel, and we think we do, so we're ready to wage a
legal battle with our government,” brigade
member Kathe Karlson said as the group gathered in
Fort Erie, Ontario, for the 1.6 km trek across the
bridge. |

Oh, really—the
government cannot impede your right to travel, Ms.
Karlson? In addition, you are ready to wage a legal
battle with the government? Those are impetuous
words, madam; talk like that will land you in prison
for peligrosidad predelictiva (you do not have to actually commit a crime,
just give someone the impression you will) quicker
than you can say “Patria o Muerte!”
Oh, wait—you are
not in Cuba anymore. You made it back to the US
where you can say anything you want without fear of
arrest. Whew, that was close!
The sheer
ignorance and arrogance these people exude is beyond
comprehension. Either they are complete morons,
devoid of any ability to realize the irony in their
statements, or they feel so superior that the rights
they so vehemently believe should be afforded to
them, do not apply to the common Cubans on the
island. This is yet another example of the leftist
elite’s
let them eat cake mentality.
In case someone
might believe this is the opinion of just one
brigadista, this is directly from the
Venceremos Brigade’s website:

“…the VB has
never requested permission from the U.S. government
to go to Cuba–and we never will! We believe it is
our right as U.S. citizens to travel free of U.S.
government obstacles.” |
|
|
Yep, you read
that right; they believe in their right to
travel freely without government obstacles. The
Cubans stuck on the island without the right to
travel, to speak freely, or to express their
grievances to the government without risking
incarceration, well, tough cookies. The VB is too
busy fighting for the rights of really important
people: themselves.
